Lycamobile launches in Austria
London (6 November 2013) - Lycamobile, the largest global provider of low-cost international mobile calls, this week announces the launch of its services in Austria.

Lycamobile now operates in 17 countries, strengthening the company’s ever-expanding portfolio. The move to Austria has solidified Lycamobile’s position as having the most comprehensive coverage of the European population than any other mobile telecom operator.

The launch takes place on Wednesday 6th November and will allow Austrian customers to make international calls from one cent a minute. Other offers available will permit customers to make free Lycamobile to Lycamobile calls both in Austria and in all other Lycamobile countries when they top up.

The announcement emphasises the growing demand for the company’s services, and highlights its rapid geographic roll out after launching in nine countries over the past three years. Most significantly, 2013 has seen the telecoms giant activate its biggest market launch to date by introducing the service across the USA as the country’s first full MVNO.

Lycamobile Group Chairman, Allirajah Subaskaran said: “Launching to the Austrian market is a significant milestone for Lycamobile as we look to expand our European footprint. This development, together with our roll out across the USA, highlights a hugely successful and pivotal year for the company. We are delighted to welcome Austria into the growing Lycamobile family and look forward to accelerating our growth with additional country launches as we move into 2014."

Founded in 2006, Lycamobile has fast become the global brand for connecting customers with their loved ones abroad at the cheapest possible rate. Providing low-cost high-quality international calls to over 30 million customers, Lycamobile has achieved greater coverage of the European population than any other network.
